The story of J. K. Rowling and her Harry Potter made the world dream, page after page, magic after magic. J. K. Rowling is not only the richest writer in the world, but she is above all a woman who has made her work and her life a unique and unrepeatable occasion.
Not everything was easy for her. In 1982 she try the entrance exam at Oxford and did not pass it, but after she will graduate at the University of Exeter. She works as researcher and bilingual secretary for Amnesty International and then at the Chamber of Commerce. She loses her mother at the age of 25, she marries, then divorces and, in the meantime, she raises a daughter with many difficulties.
Her Harry Potter project, in which she always believed, was rejected by 11 publishers. But the president of Bloomsbury in London tries to make the chapters read to his daughter Alice, who asks to have the sequel.
Bloomsbury prints a run of only 1,000 copies. What happened next is pure magic. Rowling has sold millions of books, has become richer than Queen Elizabeth. The Harry Potter brand is valued at around $ 15 billion.
